Piesa aflata in deschiderea celui de-al treilea album Queen, Brighton Rock, a servit de multe ori ca "pole-play" (piesa de rezistenta) in concertele formatiei, datorita solo-ului de chitara din partea mediana a cantecului. Ritmul este de hard-rock, foarte alert si vesel, iar partitura de chitara este mai mult decat consistenta. Subiectul este "cronica" unei vacante petrecute de doi tineri indragostiti ("happy little day, Jimmy went away, met his little Jenny on a public holiday"), la malul marii (Brighton fiind o statiune turistica din sudul Angliei), dar fara permisiunea parintilor ("oh no I must away to my mum in disarray"). Tonul povestirii este unul cu mult umor, prezentand pe de o parte tirada baiatului ("it's so good to know there's still a little magic in the air I'll weave my spell"), iar pe de alta, indoielile fetei vizavi de parerea mamei ("if my mother should discover how I spent my holiday, it would be of small avail to talk of magic in the air, I'll say farewell").

Solo-ul de chitara are acorduri viguroase, puternice, care denota o certa virtuozitate si cunoastere a instrumentului. In concerte, insa, aceasta parte era mult mai dezvoltata, uneori precedata si de un solo de baterie. Brian dadea adesea nuante lirice solo-ului sau de chitara sau improviza pe linii melodice dinamice, in uralele publicului. Si, vorba lui Freddie in concertul de la Hammersmith Odeon, chitaristul era un desavarsit "magician" al sunetului...
